RSL–LNDC Joint Engagement for the Manufacturing Sector on “Tax Compliance”

Submitted by admin on 18 August 2025

On 15 August 2025, Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL), in collaboration with Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC), hosted a joint workshop at Victory Hall- Mojalefa Lephole under the theme “Tax Compliance”, targeting the manufacturing sector.

This engagement formed part of broader efforts to address concerns impacting the investment climate and foster a more conducive business environment for manufacturers in Lesotho. It focused on key topics such as:

Tax compliance requirements and services

The audit and refunds processes

Digitalisation of tax services

Customs procedures and export incentives

Market opportunities for local manufacturers

In her opening remarks, RSL Commissioner General, Mrs. Mathabo Mokoko, reaffirmed RSL’s commitment to supporting the manufacturing industry as an important contributor to Lesotho’s economic growth.

Mrs. Mokoko further encouraged manufacturers to engage openly with RSL, reminding stakeholders that all RSL services are offered free of charge.

This initiative also aligns with the Mphahlolle Campaign, an RSL-led awareness drive aimed at educating businesses and the public on the importance of tax compliance and available support services.

Through this joint effort, RSL and LNDC continue to build meaningful partnerships with key sectors to drive national development and sustainable economic growth.
