RSL Rolls Out Mobile Services

Today marked a significant milestone in the journey of the Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) to enhance service delivery and accessibility for all Basotho, with the official launch of its mobile services.

The Mobile Office, launched by the Commissioner General, Mrs. Mathabo Mokoko, is a strategic initiative aimed at improving access to RSL services, particularly for individuals in remote areas and those who may not be familiar with digital tools.

The Mobile Office is fully equipped to provide a wide range of essential services, bringing convenience and efficiency directly to taxpayers. Among the key offerings are services available through RSL’s digital platforms, including:

• eTax – enabling taxpayers to register, file, and manage their taxes electronically;

• eTCC – for obtaining electronic Tax Clearance Certificates;

• eVAT 11 – supporting VAT-related processes;

• ePayments – for seamless and secure tax payments; and

• eFiling – allowing for quick and accurate submission of tax returns.

This innovation reflects RSL’s commitment to inclusivity, ensuring that no citizen is left behind in the country’s digital transformation journey, regardless of location or digital literacy level. The Mobile Office will play a crucial role in extending the reach of RSL’s services, reinforcing its mission to make tax administration more efficient, accessible, and citizen-friendly.
