Today, Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL), in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and through the Department of Forestry, had a successful tree planting event at Ha Leutsoa in Matsieng.

This initiative is part of the organization’s long-term commitment to environmental sustainability. As RSL Commissioner General Mrs. Mathabo Mokoko highlighted, this journey began in 2023 when RSL pledged to plant 20,000 trees and increase the target by 1,000 each year. So far RSL is proud to report that since then they have now planted 41,000 trees nationwide!

This initiative goes beyond environmental care. It is also about economic empowerment, as we source our trees from local, small-scale nurseries, creating vital opportunities for Basotho businesses.

A special thank you to the community of Ha Leutsoa for their warm welcome and to the dedicated RSL staff who made this day a success.

This is more than just planting trees; it's about restoring our environment for a greener, healthier Lesotho for generations to come.
