RSL hosts World Bank & ATAF Mission

Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) is currently hosting experts from the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) and the World Bank (WB) on a mission aimed at strengthening the organization’s capacity in international tax.

The Mission experts are Mr. Benjamin Stewart (International Tax Consultant – WB) and Ms. Mercy Mbithi (International Tax Adviser – ATAF)

The Mission started on Monday 13th and ends today, Thursday, 16th October 2025.

The objective of the Mission is to strengthen RSL’s international tax capacity and provide training to RSL officials on international tax, transfer pricing and related matters, covering the following:

(a) Meeting with senior tax policy officials to discuss proposed reforms to Lesotho’s international tax rules.

(b) Practical assistance on international tax or transfer pricing audit cases and other RSL audit planning, transfer pricing risk assessment and other operational matters.

(c) Training on international tax and transfer pricing issues in the extractives and telecommunications sectors.

The mission also paid a courtesy call to the Commissioner General, Mrs. Mathabo Mokoko, on 15th October 2025.
