Maseru Bridge employees looks ahead to 2026 with renewed spirits

Maseru Bridge Border Post employees through the Lesotho Border Management Service (LBMS) held a prayer session to invite the presence and guidance of God in the execution of their duties in 2026. During the session organised by the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS), the employees reflected on the successes and challenges scored in collaboration with their South African counterparts in the just ended 2025 festive season and made a commitment to build on the achievements to provide excellent services to travelers at the border.

The employees also recognized the important role border employees play as the first point of contact to people visiting the country. Border employees also contributes positively to Lesotho’s economic growth through duties that include revenue collection, border protection and security and trade facilitation.

The session was also addressed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dr. Mahlape Morai, Dr. Tseko Nyesemane on behalf of Heads of Border Agencies (HOBA), Mr. Tumane Mbele representing South Africa’s Border Management Authority (BMA), Colonel Khahliso Mofokeng from the South African Police Service (SAPS) and Former Minister of Finance, Dr. Timothy Thahane representing the private sector.
