RSL develops a risk based compliance plan for Customs

Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) with support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Regional Technical Assistance Center for Southern Africa (AFRITAC South) held a workshop aimed at developing a risk based compliance plan for Customs from the 8th to 12th June 2026 at RSL Academy.

The workshop facilitated by the IMF AFRITAC South Resident Customs Administration Advisor, Mr. Stephen Mendes assisted RSL to develop a Compliance Improvement Plan (CIP) aimed at enhancing Customs compliance and optimizing revenue collection from cross-border trade.

The mission concluded with a feedback session between the workshop facilitator, Mr. Stephen Mendes, and the Acting Commissioner General, Mr. Obed ’Nete, during which Mr. Mendes was presented with a token of appreciation from RSL.
