TRADE IS GOING DIGITAL!
Today, 24 August 2026, Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) joined key stakeholders for the official launch of the Lesotho National Single Window (LNSW) a major step towards making international trade simpler, faster and more convenient.
The LNSW provides traders, brokers and information consumers with a single online portal to prepare and submit applications for various certificates, licences and permits required for international trade. It is currently linked to ASYCUDA World for customs declarations.
For RSL, this milestone directly supports the Lesokoana Strategy, particularly the Digitalisation pillar, which focuses on using technology to improve our operations, products and services. Starting today, RSL has taken full ownership of the system.
As the Acting Commissioner General noted, the Single Window speaks directly to RSL’s commitment to making compliance easier, faster and more convenient for taxpayers and the trading community.
12 Government agencies are utilising the platform, with 88 Certificates, Licences and Permits processes automated. In 2025, electronic permit applications increased from 700 in September, to 1,400 in October and 2,844 in November. Today, the system has reached 7,035 registrations and 45,521 applications.
